There is also higher consumption of processed food, trans fats, sugary beverages and unhealthy snack choices.

Obesity in the US affects 100.1 million (41.9 %) adults and accounts for approximately $147 billion in annual health care cost.

What we offer

Our medical weight loss program is tailored specifically to meet your needs, based on your health history, and blood work. The program is 1:1 personally guided by Barbara Brandt APRN-BC and Krizia Passariello RD-BC with a meal plan and supplementation that fits your needs. Exercise counseling is also included. On average our patients lose 30 to 50 lbs. in a 4-to-6-month period. Our goal is lifetime changes that ensure a permanent weight loss and the implementation of healthy habits.

We ask for a 6 month commitment to be able to produce permanent results.

The Foundation plan includes health history, physical assessment, BMI calculation, current weight, blood work orders, weight loss goals, nutritional counseling (4 sessions) and a reset diet and a prescription for 8-9weeks.

We have an essential and complete plan for those looking to further their health by testing detailed markers and food intolerances and supplementation protocols for optimal health. Please ask us about these if you are interested.

We offer Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and MIC treatments. A customized protocol will be chosen based on your needs.

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide was originally created to treat patients with diabetes, however, a secondary application was later found as a medicine used for weight loss, to lower blood sugar levels, and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke in type two diabetes patients.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist and works by increasing insulin release, lowering the amount of glucagon released, delaying gastric emptying, and reducing appetite.

Semaglutide is not for use in people with type 1 diabetes.

Each of the different brands of semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelus) is FDA approved for different conditions.

How It Works/ Application?

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) agonist. This medication works to lower  blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin that is released, lowering the amount of glucagon released, triggering fat burning and delaying gastric emptying.

Semaglutide also controls appetite and helps you reduce the amount of food that you want to eat. It also controls alcoholic beverages intake and sugar cravings

Semaglutide is applied once a week via injection and the dose is increased based on Barbara Brandt APRN-BC  protocol’s.

Common side effects of semaglutide may include: Upset stomach, heartburn, burping, gas, bloating; nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite; diarrhea, constipation; stomach flu symptoms, headache, dizziness, and tiredness.

All these side effects are avoided by following the protocols and respecting the weekly dosage prescribed. Optimal water consumption is important to avoid dehydration and constipation. We will also prescribe supplementation needed for treatment optimization. Rest assure that you won’t feel side effects and in the rare case you do, we are a text away to assist you.

Who Cannot Be on Semaglutide?

Patients who are pregnant, lactating, having dumping syndrome, low blood sugar, history of medullary cancer, thyroid CA, endocrine neoplasia syndrome, type 1 diabetes.
